VMworld 2017 is right around the corner and this year I have submitted a couple of sessions along with my colleague, Ritesh Shenoy, who blogs at vSphere Arena.
This has been one of my goals for 2017 where I wanted to submit at least one paper for VMworld 2017. I am glad that I could come up with two sessions.

Why should you upgrade to vSphere 6.5 today [1327]
Abstract:
Would you like to know what vSphere 6.5 has to offer for your existing vSphere infrastructure? This session will introduce you to all the new and enhanced features in vSphere 6.5 across various areas of VMware technology.
The vCenter Server Appliance is a show-stopper in this release of vSphere and certain features are only exclusive to the appliance like Migration, built-in VMware Update Manager, vCenter High Availability, and native Backup/Restore.
Security is also another field where vCenter Server shines by introducing Virtual Machine Encryption, Encrypted vMotion and Secure Boot support for both Virtual Machines and ESXi hosts. We will talk about enhancements in storage, networking, Distributed Resources Scheduler and High Availability.
VMware Platform Services Controller –Technical Deep Dive [1329]
Abstract:
Ever wondered what VMware Platform Services Controller is and how different it is from the VMware Single Sign-On introduced from vSphere 5.1 days?
Well, VMware Platform Services Controller introduced in vSphere 6.0 is one of the most important components of a VMware infrastructure suite. It is mainly responsible for Identity Management, Licensing, Certificate Management and lookup services for component registration.
In this session, we will introduce Platform Services Controller, components and features including the best practices on deployment topologies and make the Platform Services Controller highly available.
